Hi there people. Just thought Id post a before/after shot of the H2B... Ground up rebuild, back to the last nut and bolt. Backcut box, rebuilt crank etc. Stainless spokes and fasteners, all alloy vapour blasted... ![]() All done bar a few niggly faults - Clutch is slipping like a mad thing, shoulda put a heavy duty one in ![]() When it is finally dialled in there's a nice set of Higgsy spannies sitting right behind me as I type waiting to be fitted. Anyways, hope you all likey.. ![]() |

Clutch is slipping like a mad thing, shoulda put a heavy duty one in What kind of oil did you put in the crankcase? Did you align the dots on the clutch? Properly adjust? the carbs need dialling in and the ferkin crankcase oil feed line keeps going dry after a ride. Bleeds up ok but then airlocks (any ideas?) Are stat-o-seals fitted at the pump? When it is finally dialled in there's a nice set of Higgsy spannies sitting right behind me as I type waiting to be fitted. Best fit the Higgs before getting it dialed in or you'll have the job to do again. |

What type of oil in c/case? - 80W dino gear oil Dots aligned - yes Pretty sure its adjusted, got one of Ralfs actuators. Ill check Looks like it had standard plates/springs. All checked out ok when I did a measure up tho.. Stats fitted everywhere apart from c/case banjos and oil inlet bottom seal. The lines off the bike atm, problem seems just like H2dudes problem with his H2B. Getting a Mity-Vac to do some tests as per your guides on the resource site. Probably best to test for leaks first? Hmm, interesting about the spannies. I see your point, I just thought removing one variable from the equation was better. Ill contact Higgsy for some jetting baselines. Cheers for the reply ![]() |

Clutch shouldn't slip with stock engine and dino gear oil unless misadjusted actuator or worn plates. Check valves are the next logical things to look at and don't forget the carb lines, too. |

Carb lines seem fine but will check with the mity Daft question - just got me thinking, the 2 spacers on the clutch, one behind the basket and one behind the hub - which one goes where...Im sure I got them the right way round... paranoia settin in here lol Think Ill pull the case since the pumps off.. ![]() |
