One of them was described as:

Kawasaki H1 500 Mach Three..1970...Rebuilt Wheel hubs front and rear..New bearings, seals, spokes and nipples on each wheel after a media blasting of each hub and to return them to the factory original finish we followed up with a shot of clear coat..The motor has a rebuilt crank with a complete Sudco crank kit...Rods included.. .This motor has less than four miles on the build with the new pistons and rings not broken in yet..This motor and this frame are mates from the factory...The distributor cap and wires are all nos Kawasaki goodies new to this bike..The grab rail in the rear as well the side grab rail are both show chrome..The kick starter is also fresh show chrome and the boss is nos with zero wear and perfect chrome..Zoom in and check out the paint job...Be your own best judge..All the black is cleared over as well the tins..The seat is all new...The shocks are original Kawasaki shocks in excellent condition and the chrome is superb..The gear shift linkage and the gear shift lever as well are both show chrome..It is hard to find a better example of the front fender on this bike..It is flawless without dings or scrapes and the original flawless hardware is still intact..The fender struts are perfect as well with with original chrome in great to perfect condition. All of the cables are original Kawasaki cables..There are some cracks in the outer skins of some of the cables and the patina brings this bike in real sweet..The front and rear tires are both brand new Dunlop Gold Seal Tires as was put on this bike by the factory in 1969 when it was originally built..These show quality reproduction duplicates are just what this bike needed to sit with these beautiful wheels complete with the fresh laced spokes looking ever so show perfect..The swing arm has new brass bushings in place. The oil tank sight window has been rebuilt..The chrome vents on the rear wheel are perfect looking and function as they should..The original factory vibration damper is in place as is the factory option hydraulic damper that was offered as added stability for the front end ..Look closely at the original pipes complete with original baffles..The finish is still great after 44 years..This chrome is original..The speedometer and the tachometer are in great shape with the original colors still vibrant on the faces and the lens covers on the tachometer..The speedometer is at 11,173 and neither gauge has ever been opened...The stock original air intake system is in place and the three piece rubber boot has been replaced with new rubber...Exact replicated rubber boot..Check the pics under the motor and every where else for that matter...Clean enough to eat off !!..The fork tubes are Kawaski original parts. The inner's are original and flawless with zero pitting or surface rust..They are original and flawless Kawasaki parts...All new seals and dust boots...All the switches work as they were designed to work and they are original to this bike..Ask questions..Don't make an offer if you do not have the money or the intentions to follow through please..These listings are expensive..If you need more information or pictures i will respond to all requests promptly. Thanks to all of you for looking at my bike..

Well if the dialogue you attached is the description from eBay that led to the sale....someone lied like hell! I guess the trip across the ocean might explain the rust (which means they cleaned it with steel wool for the ads)..

Either one of them is 100% better looking than Rick's "Miracle at Ohio" 500 last year.
It was 5 grand and rust from stem to stern.

You just never know.
Either of those, if all original in fact, not just his word, is a 5K bike.

jmho of course....

You were correct with the first line . . . . The bikes were like that when they left the owner in Boca Raton, Florida  Any bad chrome was angle ground out and painted silver, anything that couldn't be buffed out was painted silver . .. . which as we all know can make a turd look like a diamond

However, the pivot pin is something from the junk pile and the bolt is one we just screwed in with the wrong thread

They're off a H2, but that shouldn't matter, and we managed to find some really $hit hardware to mount them with .. . . Have you sent that extra money I asked for yet ?
