I wasn't knocking the brace, I LIKE IT, and, it is a great piece of period correct history.

Over the decades, I have seen a LOT of dented front fender tops from those style braces being mounted "too low" on the tubes, though. Even the fork brace dented fenders are a great piece of those bike's history.
