Had my buddy Brad (Bradway on the board years ago) stop by from Phoenix yesterday. He brought his 69 Beezer 650 single carb, and we went for a short ride. The vid is long as we took 2 cameras.

Great stuff, but hey, no hills and twisties! Took me back, when I had my H1, the Police here had BSA 650's, it was no contest.....! About time for a report on the H2 engine in a H1... (presume that is the case, now?)

I can give you a report, Rod, since I rode it this spring at the meet. It has gobs of low end torque and a ton of top end, and is light and handles very nicely. The rear brake needs work though. You probably saw the video where I tried to use the rear brake to stop in gravel.

You're sure right about that riding environment, but John does have some nice mountains to ride on that aren't too far away. I'm spoiled here, living in the middle of a network of nearly deserted country roads. Seeing his videos, I can understand his calling New Mexico "The Moon."

Yes, back to the H1/H2, it was that way for many years. She runs very well, just doing durability testing on the reeds, doin miles. And it is flat here, but 40 miles and have a great mountain to play on. If you look through my vids, I have a few of it.

If I were you, I'd leave the 750 in that bike and put your 500 into a 400 frame. ;)
I haven't had a chance to watch the video yet... Still have to watch Jim's trackday!
I gotta get my priorities straight!
