Strictly bolt-on turbos/blowers simply don't work (well, not for long). There are timing maps, fuel maps, injectors, fuel rails, fuel pumps, up pipes, down pipes, bypass valves etc. There's a reason we can't by Aylor bolt-on reed kits on eBay, right? Half of us dummies can't even figure the jetting out on a stock bike!

But I do get the point about having your hands in the engine. When you're humming along and the bike you rebuilt is running perfect and some squid blows past you on a Busa....you just smile and pat yourself on the back because you made your bike run..and you tell yourself "I could buy a Busa this afternoon - if I wanted to".

Finally, someone is getting the idea......... ;)

My point was that you can buy ported and reeded cylinders and pistons, along with new electronics, pipes and carbs delivered from the UPS man ready to bolt on and often times with reasonably close jetting.

Building a turbo or blower rig may start with basic components but the end user will still have to fabricate parts and create a complete new tuning schedule specific for that set up.

As crazy as it would be to transport a piston port into a case reed!
I believe that you would call some of the posters looking for a "wind up" in the UK?
