I managed this hanging it from a tree in my back yard. It was late spring so there was worm crap falling everywhere out of the trees. I put up an old deck table umbrella and presto!
I highly recommend House of Color paints, but with any paint - read the tech sheet until its memorized. Its no fun forgetting a step or rifling through papers in the middle of spraying. I don't have much painting experience, but the clearcoat is where to spend the money.

How long would you recommend for drying in-between coats?

The tech sheet covers this. 10-15 mins typically, or until paint stops "stringing" to the touch
Prep is key. Spraying is the easy part

I think its either from a kz650 or kz900. Not sure since I got it like that. Possible the swingarm is the same. It has needle bearings if that helps to identify it.

On paint I am going with NAPA because they have a nice step by step instructional with measuring cup its almost idiot proof  , I ve used NAPA paint before follow the steps and it always came out nice not sure what brand it is but the parts manager claims they can match 77 KH400 green to a T.

Now that's a man cave; just get some topless dancers in steel cages and there would be little reason to leave (other than to ride out for food)

Any back yard DIY paint job pics anyone? I got my S3 tin stripped not sure if I should attempt a DIY anyone have good results with the back yard spray booth?

It's all in the prep, and you HAVE to use the 2K 2 part urathane clear coat. Take your time, and you can get a great job, no one will know.

I could go on and on but in all honesty that's pretty much it in a nutshell..

A few I've done. Tons of prep, rattlecan paints and 2K 2 part clearcoat.
