Having this bike on loan for a while. Belongs to a good friend, he's got too many bikes and wants me to buy this so it can still be in town ;) It runs very strong, it's a beauty to ride. Modified with swingarm from a GPZ (I think) and wider rear wheel. I consider buying but as I'm going through a divorce and things are a bit complicated at the moment I have to wait until I have an overview of my financial situation the next year. But he can put it hold, no problem. So maybe...

Well, yeah, a divorce is never wanted, but sometimes is the only solution to resolve the situation.

On the bright side, I will get more spare time to care about my interests ;)

I've asked that same q many times and was always told the same thing...that the Suzuki triples were refined and very functional machines...the 380 was a 6 speed !! I rode a good running :e9 GT750 "water buffalo" once and it was the bulkiest and most guttless thing that I've ever ridden in my life, but it would take you cross country as good as anything. They provided very little thrill and/or overall excitement to the rider Unlike the Kawi's did/do.

The 550 is a little bit more refined than it's Kawasaki counterpart in so much, it is more of a cruiser and the tuning not as peeky as the H1.
I have one, i have just dug it out from the back of my workshop,i have owned it since 1986,but have not driven it for the last 6 years and it looks like i might sell it on
