Heard this cute little Honda Z50 went for $5K today.

I have a red/white one that was purchased at local Suzuki dealer for $15.00. Someone brought it in for service and never returned. My grandkids love it and sometimes it makes a great pit bike. People love it. 5K seems a bit high though.

1969 first year (US) so you can imagine what people will pay for a 1969 motorcycle

The early Z50 and also the 70's go for big bucks restored - it's what people want. I've seen great restorations going for 3K+, don't know if I'd pay 5K. There is a huge aftermarket and NOS parts supply though.

I just picked up mine in December (Bill you saw the other minibike on FaceBook).

My Z50 is a 74, street legal, licensed tagged and good to go. It's all original except it does have a 72cc cylinder that was the hot trick back in the day and a foamy air filter. Also has a nice rack accessory in the back.

It's not perfect, tank repaint sucks, needs cables (I have), kicker loose on the pivot but works, crappy wiring loom, broken high/low switch (ordered new), missing side cover (not for 35 bucks I won't), and needs a good stripping and cleaning. Runs great.

I paid $700 which is a fair price for these. You either see a restored $$$$ or a roached basket case.
