Post subject:  Removing Labels from new bike

My new ninja 1000 has very many labels stuck to the paint that I want to remove. Does anyone know a good / method that won't damage the paint? I thought about leaving it out in the sun for awhile to soften them up, but some are in out of the way places and won't get very hot.

Thank you.

Without the labels, how will you know not to do things like put Kool-Aid in the fuel tank or not to stare into the headlight until you're blind?

Or adjust the windscreen with both hands while hauling buggy through heavy traffic.

I've removed lots of labels with 1 of my wife's old hair dryers. Heat up a corner and start pulling while you apply heat. I hate all the labels that they put on newer bikes.

low slow heat the best. There are products like UnDo (cannot be shipped to calif) that are safe for plastics paint etc.

WD-40 is great for softening and dissolving glue. Lift one edge of a label, squirt, wait, lift, squirt, wait...

+1 for WD40
Lighter fluid also works well (Naptha) without any issues with paint.

At one point I was a reseller of specialized power line filters.
We sold hundreds and I wanted to remove the industrial label from the manufacturer and attach our label.
We experimented with a ton of chemicals and Naptha was best.
They make a release agent called "Sticker Off" for removing decals but it isn't very aggressive.
