Great idea. Some people get on bikes and they know the risks pretty well - good for them. Some, however, have no idea of the risks involved and they are in the dark. On another forum a very young member posted to complain about his major name brand riding jacket that did nothing to prevent a broken collar bone and several broken ribs during his get-off. He was truly pissed and thought that the $200 spent would give him invincibility. |

I dig that.... also proves how potentially worthless a cruiser-esque "soup bowl" helmet is. I know that the times I've needed my helmet, the chin area has always been scuffed up. |

I know that the times I've needed my helmet, the chin area has always been scuffed up. +1 when I dumped my bike last year, broke my wrist when the bars hit the pavement but when the body hit it was my chin and shoulder that hit the tarmac. It was a new Shoei but a small price to pay to save my jaw and disfigurement. Looking at the helmet and visor after made me shudder to think what my face would have looked like if I had not had a full face helmet. |
