Hi all. .
Had a kh for nearly a year, slowly getting there with it but a few bugs still lurk and I've finally found a site that may have knowledge and practical help.
Problems list -
indicators and neutral light disappear when brake lights come on.
Any ideas folks??
Some pics of how it was an how it is now..

So hello and look forward to exploring the site.

Ps, if anyone sees any related posts if be grateful of links, had a search but nothing helpful :)

Either the battery is low or almost shot, and or a bad ground wire. And you have transmission damage.

Eithere E bay for parts or a transmission. And you might not be charging enough, I would check that first.

Well it's putting 6 in and reads 6 off battery. Very strange all this cos it was fine when I got it for a few weeks then it all started.
My horn also only works when the bike is running but only sounds like a wet fart haha.
I agree. It's like there isn't enough power to share around?

A six volt charging system needs to supply around 7 volts or more to charge the battery. If you measure the battery voltage with the engine off and a fully charged battery, you should be around 6.25 volts. Then if you start the engine and rev it a little and measure the battery voltage again, it should have risen to 7 or so. As long as the engine is at a normal cruising RPM, the battery should remain around 7 if you turn on the headlight.

Hi.
Will double check but I'm sure that's what it is doing.
I don't get neutral light when the engine is off but ignition is on.
Maybe I need to start my tests again to see if I have missed anything. But from what I can see its just running everything of the generator.
Headlights and brake lights are fine.
Brake lights are a little slow to come on though...
Damned electrics. Haha

The anemic horn is a sign that the charging system isn't working properly. Are the blinkers slow to blink as well?
