They had jets out here and I went. it was freakin cool to see the trust and power and feel the ground shake. The noise was deafening........ |

But all that fire and noise at the start had nothing to do with turbine engines running. Can you imagine what the passengers would do if a commercial jet did that before it took off?

It would scare the crap out of them, and it does! I flew on a Russian airliner in 74, yes there was smoke and flames........

The sparklers that went off on the jersey wall were a little anti-climatic....at least the fireballs at the very end were better.. |
