I bought this a wee while ago to race at the track

My first day at the track, i just couldnt stay calm!

I dont remember much but at the end of the main straight theres a slight, very fast corner, i ran off the track there probably at about 180-200kph kept it up for about 100 meters and hit the gravel trap. Must have been doing 150kph when i face planted the gravel. I did get up, but not for long! hehe. Two broken ribs and broken collar bone which poked out the top. Concusion. Very lucky.

Sorry Coops, very sorry, but like Jeff said, I hope you and your bike heal quickly. I've never had a broken rib, although I thought I might a few times. I've heard they're one of the more painful injuries.

All the plastics are shot including the rear. otherwise its OK. radiator shot. So ive decided to make a race bike out of it and have another go  . Im gonna do traditional yamy yellow/black 70s style. Cant decide on exact graphics yet, id like your opinions.
Should i go old/old like this?

or old/new like this? (4th pic down)

Of corse the fairing will be of the new kind but i recon old style could work.
Let me know what youz think. Cheers, Coops.

COOPS - very sorry to hear that you were hurt. The bike is a bit of a bummer. That was a very nice looking FZR.

I like the idea of yellow/black. There are a few good sources for the hash stripe kit.

Here's what mine looks like: (not black and yellow)

I would go for the old/old scheme, looks good! Did exactly the same thing in '73, trying to outbrake the current proddy bike champion! ( Any of you Aussies/Kiwis remember the Crawford brothers, who dominated production racing on H2's back then?) If you didn't have a H2, you weren't going to win!

Actually the worst thing that has come of this isnt the bike, or broken bones, although it is a shame and i like to keep bikes origonal (it was cheap)
Is the misses's attitude towards bikes (and i cant blame her) Her best mates partner died on a Ducati not that long ago and now this!
Oh well.....She wont have any idea whats going on untill i open the garage door and put my helmet on. Il fight that fight when i get to it.
She might like it because it will look like a big soft bumble bee :P
It has got some sting though, 140HP, obviously too much HP for me

Sorry to hear, just make sure you heal up, and don't push your recovery.
