The only important spec I could find is the wet weight at 480 pounds.

I like it  and think its a good move on HD's part to get into the smaller bikes, younger riders , women and old men probably will flock to it....

Looks like a direct competitior for the Honda Shadow and Honda has sold tens of thousands of them. Wonder what the final drive is, belt or chain?

This is making the rounds on a few places. I don't think they're going to be successful $7k for the 500 and 7.5k for the 750 model. Price is low for US base but too high for other countries where they'll sell in any significant numbers. I might be wrong - we'll see.

Assembled in India could be a cause of quality issues. If that happens it will die out quick.
I found that sales are to be in europe and other countries other than the U.S.A.

One of the articles says that bikes will be built for the US market, and those will be assembled in the US.

An astronomical price never seemed to hurt the sale of the large Harleys - so why not?

The dichotomy between US market and oversea's is too great. With import duties and tax on top of the almost $8K cost there is no way it would be sustainable in any significant numbers.

I read that they plan to manufacture the units intended for overseas markets in countries that aren't subject to the import duties and/or taxes and tariffs. It sounds like they've put a little thought into this.
