It's been awhile since I've asked this question... Does this forum support any mobile apps?
I bought a couple of them that is supposed to work on phpbb forums but I can't find either this one or Brads site listed.
In checking with the app forum I find out that the forum needs to support the software in some way.
These apps only cost a buck apiece but I don't think I'll waste my money on any more if this is the case for all mobile apps.
Safari really sucks now with the lastest upgrade and other forums I frequent using proboards or tapatalk app's is so much nicer in comparison.
Does anyone know of an available app that works here?
I've already tried Forum Runner and TouchBB
TIA

I'll take a stab at an answer for you.... realize that Jeff G. is the authority for the subject on this board.

Yes, the board must be setup with additional software to grant mobile access. When you asked the question last, Jeff said he would look into adding the feature. As far as I know it has not been added.

Moreover, the version of phpbb that this forum uses is no longer supported by phpbb. The newest version is completely different. I don't know for sure but I suspect that it requires major setup changes. It is a revamp rather than an update.

A lot of this is conjecture on my part and may not be totally accurate.... maybe someone with more insight can correct any error in my understanding.

I use Safari on both my iPhone and iPad with no special apps. Works fine for me.

The advantage of app is 1 hand operation, no scaling or scrolling required.
Plus now with iPhone's new security, you have to go through the login even if you leave the forum to follow a link... I've figured out how to retain the auto fill but I still need to login.
Brads board is even worse because it resets to mobile brousing by default, which means another zoom and click to deactivate.
