In MD and DC we know have mobile speed cameras; large SS boxes with radar, flash, and camera all in one and runs off batteries so they can be moved easily; appears that the cops have to manually download data and swap out batteries

We also have parked unmarked soccer mom vans although they have to put a red cone behind them
The parked police cars with radar do not need the cone

I drove through an interaction with this crazy looking red light camera today
I stop at red lights and don't mind this but this thing looked extra special

Do they now put speed cameras with red light cameras at traffic lights?

Any idea on how to hide a tag on an H2 to become elusive?
I'm told that the spray coatings do not work at night to cause an issue with the flash.

Any experts on this?

They had speed and redlight cams all over Albuquerque for years, they finally shut them down because of the cost. They would get the people flooring it to run the yellow with a speeding ticket. We have just the red light cam here in Rio Rancho, and the radar vans.

I have been dealing with both for many years now, and never had a problem, then again I don't speed or run reds. That would be better than hiding your plate. The spray doesn't work because, they just use a negative if the pic and the numbers show up fine.

Best course of action is to be active in your city council. Raise hell about cost. But I prefer folks don't do crazy speeding in certain areas. I do of course; but I choose my spots. Folks going 10 mph over the limit in rush hour traffic do nothing but endanger others. Just MHO.
