McCartney played in DC last night and I had really wanted to go see and icon and an idol of mine play when tickets were first announced. The cheap seats were over $400 each (face value) and the field seats started at $1,000 and went to $4,000 for up close. I wouldn't pay that to see him play with John Lennon. Piss off you greedy ba$tard. |

That's weird, according to the Washington Post site when they first went on sale: "Tickets for the show go on sale Friday, April 12, at 10 a.m. through Tickets.com. Prices range from $49.50 to $255." It looks like you were better off taking the Metro than driving to the stadium though, because the Post also said: "Parking at Nationals Park will be $42 on Friday and passes can be purchased in advance at Tickets.com." |

I think those prices (when purchased from the stadium) only lasted a week or so and the infill seats went for big money. Wonder what the scalpers were getting. |

Which is why I will NEVER go to a concert at the place you're talking about. Bethel Woods is the biggest gouger for tickets in NY state Jack. I will bet thats where you meant. There are a few places near Tarrytown that get the old rockers like Levon (RIP) and David Bromberg since they are from that area. Best bang for your buck in upstate NY is the Egg in the Empire Plaza in Albany. I usually get 1st 3-4 row orhestra pit tickets and they are never or rarely over 40 bucks. Not much scheduled now but I have seen over 30 great shows over the last 7-8 years. John Mayall 3 times, NRPS 3 times David Bromberg 5 times, Dave Mason Band and too many others to note here. Al Kooper and Jimmy Vivino did a Mike Bloomfield tribute show which was out of this world. Anyone within driving distance would like the place. https://www.theegg.org/events |

We just had an incredible bluesfest in portland last week..Dozens of bands.. My fav was eric burdon and the animals on fri. and ended with robert plant playing mostly led zep on sun.. Great shows and ambiance on the waterfront..  $10 admittance 2 stages all day and headliners in the eve..on the 4th show ends with huge firework display. 4-day event..Micro's on tap.. And the best food oregon has to offer within walking distance.. Worth the visit..

Story was he was financially hopeless (typical drummer) & was going to lose his house. A group of fans stepped in & started to run his operation like the business it should have been. He avoided bankruptcy but certainly wasn't rich... |

Nope , Levon in Woodstock NY about 10 miles from me in concert (The Midnight Ramble) at his house , think it was a montly thing but not sure all I know is the tics were big money. I agree a bit rough and judgmental I'm sure Levon was a fine person, the town recently made a new street name for him, I live close enough to know that Woodstock NY is a magnet for weirdos and wack jobs, these people think their intellectuals , really if your ever over this way go to Woodstock on any give day it entertaining Of course all the towns people are not that way but most are
