Look what a stupid young blonde chick did to my mint '02 Sebring yesterday.
I inherited it from Dad at his bequest to keep it on the road.

Saddest part being it will likely get totaled and I'll get a whopping 3 grand for it.
Cant get another one in that condition for less than 5-6 grand anywhere.
Just put another 400 in to her for power steering and wheel bearing repairs.
4 new tires less than 3 months ago. 700 dollar repairs to struts and suspension parts 6 months ago.
108,000 miles aint a lot for a 12 year old car either.
Runs great and looked nice until the a-hole reached for her TomTom and hit me sitting at a traffic light.

Dad told me for years,
"The worst drivers anywhere on any road are young female drivers"

I always believed that. I've seen how my daughter drives.

Life can suck at times. No job, no money and now, probably no car for a while.
Ya gotta push on though. :|

That sucks - a little advice - find out what they're willing to reimburse - then HIT'EM with all your receipts on top of that and push hard. Having recent money spent might get you some additional $$$ (did for me twice).

Always enjoyed trying to beat the system since my early teen days Jim.
Never brazen enough to commit fraud though.
Let 'em read it the buggers. hahaha

I got a check today as they totalled it. Progressive took care of everything really fast.
(They wouldnt hook me up with "Flo" though, too bad)

KBB valued it around 3800 and I got a value of 5800 after the sob story about all the work put into it in the last year or less. ;)
Bought it back for 679 bucks and a local small shop (neighbor) is gonna patch it up and pull the rear frame rails as straight as he can as cheaply as he can.
New bumper cover and foam insert is only 380 bucks shipped from an online store.
Maybe a couple grand for repairs and the rest is for the bank to tide me over for a while.
I feel fairly fortunate to just not get injured, the money softened the blow a good bit too.
