I bought the carbs used a few years ago on ebay and they are CR33's. The stock carbs are diaphragm type and are crap. The CR's are great carbs and so easy to jet and adjust. I re-wired the bike and used 4 gauge wire on the battery relocation under the seat. All the electrics are now under the seat or tank. Bike pulls like a freight train and between the CR carbs and Vance and Hines header must make just about 100hp at the crank. I took about 50lbs off the bike and it's a hoot to ride. I put a Dyna ignition on a CB750 a few years ago and will do the same to this bike if I have any issues. Got my paint today so should have it painted by the end of the week. Rode it last night for about 40 miles and didn't have any problems other that I went to low with the gearing. Stock was 2.54 and I went to 3.00 ![]() by 35mph but it sure does pull hard. ![]() |
