I'm looking at a friends 1997 1200 voyager possibly to buy. I want a bike to store at my great aunts house when I visit her. I was gonna bring a triple there but don't feel like hauling one up from Tucson right now. It has 16k on the clock, he just dumped a grand into getting the carbs completely rebuilt, has new tires and has always been in covered parking, Not a scratch on the bike and everything works as it should. He wants $3500 which is a little more than I want to spend on a bike that will sit most of the time. Any thoughts?

If that is really the case than you answered your own question.... I'm sure you could get an
equally fun bike for 1/2 the price that you will barely use.

Trying to pass iffy the ole lady a little. I have enough"me" bikes. Since I sold the wing she won't ride on anything else. Says the concours 1400 to fast. Looking to sort of fill the void

Well that changes everything. Ask her if she likes the 1200. If she does, you're golden. if not, keep looking.
