I'm a lineman for the county and guess what? it's raining! So I thought I'd share the latest. Been quiet on the board lately because my H2 is running good besides the random parts rattling off. I'm building my GS1100 in a loose Mad Max style theme. I found the fairing at the swap meet. The gentleman told me he had the remains of the kz1000 it came off about an hour away behind an old shop. ![]() I always wanted a kz1000 to build a real "toecutter" replica so what the heck I rolled out and picked it up. ![]() ![]() Well it turns out to be what I believe to be a one of 500 1978 z1r. So now I probably have to source a fairing from airtech as these parts belong on a resto. I have a cool h2 motor story too but looks like the rain may be letting up. |

Saw racer, glad to see you kept the GS. I actually found another GS1100 since the last time I posted about yours. I found another complete 82 and will be putting my stock 16v 1100 motor in it. Got a ways to go. |

Yeah, that is a genuine early Z1-R, and needs to be kept together for restoration. Beautiful looking bike (still), and pretty much the last roll of the dice for the old air-cooled Z1 engine! ![]() |

I'm half ass trying to sell the kawie for a grand. got offered a 86 1150e for it. Better motor but ugly. The Suzuki is still under construction since I put the gsxr forks and wheels on it. Need to get in the wind instead of making it a bigger project. 140 hp or so would be useful tho ![]() |
