There was a post a while ago about a program that allows you to record a YouTube video but I can't find it. It seemed to work better that others. Most of the ones I'm finding a either junk or want to junk up your tool bars .... I actually want to record one of my own videos I cannot find my original one... scary eh? thanks/bb |

Not sure if it helps, but I'm using DownloadHelper as an add-on to Firefox. A guy as computer savvy as you are really doesn't need a special program though. Exerpt from http://www.mediacollege.com/video/internet/youtube/download.html: Quote: After visiting the web page and viewing the video, find the temporary file which is saved in your cache. For example, if you are using Windows XP, look in C:\Documents and Settings\User\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files. The file will have a random name but it will be an FLV file with a youtube URL. Copy or move this file to another folder and rename it to something more useful.

realplayer just displays download at the top corner of any vid you are watching, you just click it..... |

Thanks Jay - I'll try that one too. I did down-load YouTubeDownloder - and you have to be VERY careful to do custom and unclick all the junk they want to install - and it still added a strange toolbar that I uninstalled. bb |

Whoa - I just noticed in the "new new new" version of youtube - you can click next to a video and can download as .mp4 .... |

Just point your camera at the monitor-hit record on the camera-click play on Youtube
