There was a post a while ago about a program that allows you to record a YouTube video but I can't find it. It seemed to work better that others. Most of the ones I'm finding a either junk or want to junk up your tool bars ....

I actually want to record one of my own videos I cannot find my original one... scary eh?

thanks/bb

Not sure if it helps, but I'm using DownloadHelper as an add-on to Firefox. A guy as computer savvy as you are really doesn't need a special program though. Exerpt from http://www.mediacollege.com/video/internet/youtube/download.html:

Quote:
After visiting the web page and viewing the video, find the temporary file which is saved in your cache. For example, if you are using Windows XP, look in C:\Documents and Settings\User\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files. The file will have a random name but it will be an FLV file with a youtube URL. Copy or move this file to another folder and rename it to something more useful.

Thanks Jay - I'll try that one too. I did down-load YouTubeDownloder - and you have to be VERY careful to do custom and unclick all the junk they want to install - and it still added a strange toolbar that I uninstalled.

Whoa - I just noticed in the "new new new" version of youtube - you can click next to a video and can download as .mp4 ....

Just point your camera at the monitor-hit record on the camera-click play on Youtube :D
