I don't understand why "Kawasaki" is in the listing for an Arctic Cat snowmobile. |

Jim wrote: I don't understand why "Kawasaki" is in the listing for an Arctic Cat snowmobile. It has a single cylinder Kawasaki engine. My brother has a John Deere 160 riding mower that also has a Kawasaki engine. Very reliable. |

OK, thanks. I did a little searching because I'm not familiar with Arctic Cat, and didn't find any connection to Kawasaki. |

The actual Kawasaki sleds, like the invader were good and fast. Those old arctic cats were very heavy! I preferred the Polaris machines of that vintage. |

Old cats are cool!!! Arctic-cat used many different engines until 72. Then they used kawasaki until they went with suzuki in 76.. I race vintage snowmobiles and i have had a lot of success with the kawasaki powered cats! Arctic cats are much lighter than the steel body slowlaris (i mean Polaris) ![]() The 292 Kawasaki single is the most raced engine. After that its the sachs and than the herth..Yamaha-ha-ha(I mean Yahama) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And my buddy John and I ![]() |
