Went to lunch today and parked next to this, looked like the real deal. No owner in sight so no details other than what I could find on google about the 50's
Motorama cars. So who knows what car this is?

Correct Barry, I don't think it is one of the original 1954 show cars but it looked very correct. There are a few re-creations but this one looked pretty much like the
GM photo's. From what I can find there may have been 5 origanal ones with 3 remaining. Really cool looking car and it was at Carl's Jr.

That one's not "real." Superior Glass Works makes a kit car version. Neat car though, and it looks well built.

"Not Real" is annoying.
If you can touch it, it's real.
"Not Original" changes the conversation. :P

Ha yes, your replica Cobra is certainly real. It's among the top two wildest 4-wheel rides I've ever had, and I'm not positive which one is 1st. The other was a Griffith, for the bystanders.

Yeah, I enjoyed giving some of my friends a ride.
I think Chris smiled a little.
It's hard to impress Evans, he has a turbo buick.
John was all business.
Gumby just knows the bends.
Iron was asking about Toilet Paper.
I hope to bring it again, but I hope to bring the Z1
too.

Apologies for the "not real" comment, no offense intended. Until recently, I built kit cars for a living. I made a habit of calling our '55 T-bird kits "fake" because it annoyed the heck out of my boss

No apology necessary, Jeff.
It's just a pet peeve if mine.
Since you have built cars, I'm sure you
understand the many levels of quality that
can be had with "kits".
It's annoying when someone asked if my car is "real",
when more than likely they wouldn't know if I told them yes :P
I really didn't build my car to impress others,
I simply wanted a hot rod roadster.
When I stab the loud pedal, it sure feels real :D
