I had no idea they were all coded. Turns out my Grandpa's ratchet is a 1960 :)

I did.....my beloved 1/2" drive ratchet that I only use on farm equipment where I don't want a knuckle busted is a 1956. But, I also have a gold colored 1/4" combination wrench with a pocket clasp attached that I found when I was a kid.......1929 vintage tool :o
these are the only two snap-on tools I have :lol:

Ha does anyone know where the mark is on a 3/8 dr ratchet ?, found it under the direction lever in middle 76 model bought it when I was an apprentice a weeks wages :o ,
