That's it. I'm done. I quit. I put in my two weeks today. Two weeks from now, I'll no longer be an employee of Regal Roadsters ( http://www.regalroadsters.com ) I quit my job to start my career. I'll be starting as a CNC setup tech with the intent to advance to a CNC programmer :)

Jeff, with the bodywork skills you showed us, I'm sure you'll do fine in the CNC world.

Thanks all :) I was a bit under employed there, all things concidered. On top of being an ASE certified tech, I'm a certified Tech Ed teacher, and nearly have a Masters degree in Management. It was a good job, no question about that, but there wasn't enough thinking involved, and not much problem solving. That's the problem with restoring cars, it's a lot of paint by number  It wasn't going anywhere either. The company is small, the only person above me is the owner so there was no room for advancement. With the new job, I fully intend to be the Director of Manufacturing by the time I retire

mastercam is a good programing system ,
a one day course was all i needed to bodge my way through the lathe side,
and i think the milling is 3 to 5 days .
plenty of work for a good programer here in houston if you fancy a change of scene.
good luck
mark
