What year ZRX to buy?

Post subject:  What year ZRX to buy?
I'm looking for another bike, thinking of maybe a ZRX. Is there a year that is better than others?
I have found a few, both 1100 and 1200, prices seem 3-4.5K range for a nice one.

I found them (1100/1200) to be totally different motorcycles - ride them both prior to buying.

Both have their strengths, the 1200 actually makes some power.

When I was in the market I ended up with a Honda 919, worth a look.

Then again, it is a Honda! :lol:

I think the 1200's are just more of a good thing, I would get a 1200!! :D

I always wanted one with a Turbo, sort of a modern tribute to the Z1R T/C

My little 919 would leave the ZRX1100 for dead.

The ZRX1200 would leave my 919 for dead.

The 919 would eat them both alive whenever a corner came up.

They are all great motorcycles.

while there is nothing wrong with an 1100, most guys spend $1000.00 to get theirs to run like a 1200..

Why not just skip the crap and buy a 1200.

Go to ZRXOA board and buy from someone on there. Good deals are on daily (I bought mine from a member out of Georgia)

I had a 2002 ZRX1200. Probably the bike I wish I hadn't sold the most of all..It did everything really well. :thumbup:

I really like these bikes....Ironically, when they were still available new they were a pretty slow seller over here and would stick in the showrooms for months....Of course when they become NLA everybody wants one. :roll:
I agree the later green is much nicer than the earlier version. :thumbup:

I have this 1100: Ivan's jet kit. Muzzy/Kerker pipe 112 hp @ the Harley Boutique. Usually over 40 mpg, the best looking ZRX year and paint. Strong as a stock 1200 (my son has one) but the same mods to a 1200 and they are noticeably stronger, but with 112 hp and the great looks, I am fine with mine.
