Hi guys, I'm building a Rd400 TD replica/tribute. I bought a TD tank from a dude in Europe. It never showed up. When I replied I wanted a refund he said his paypal is locked due to boning someone else I'm sure. He then said if I open a moneybookers acct he can pay me that way. I googled it and came away confused, I already lost 300 plus, would really suck if I did something worse trying to fix this. I have a dispute going with eBay but I'm not holding my breath. I found one local at one point for 650, starting to think I should of sprung for it but damn that's a lot.

I hate to hear about stuff like this. I hope you can get some money back from this guy. It smells of scam.

If you paid pay-pal you should get your cash back, eBay always look after the buyer :geek:

Thanks fellas, no way Im opening up another stupid account. If you see a TD tank let me know, the bike has to have one. Glass repo or aluminum I'm easy.

Normally someone outside the US can get a US Postal money order in US dollars and mail it. That is, if he really wants to give you your money back.

You can also open a dispute through Paypal.

How long ago did you order it? A friend of mine was looking at a TZ replica tank from overseas, and the seller dropped all contact before he could order. Wonder if it's the same guy...

Probably the same guy. Kovestore_m. On the 25th it goes to ebay's high court. Hopefully it works out, I won't allow it to eat me up too much.

When I do ignition conversions for those n Canada and other countries, I use their postal system international money orders, and wait for them to clear into my bank account. Never have had a problem with one so far.

I wonder if there is a member of this site close to this seller in Europe, could pay an in person visit to that person for you?

Good news, eBay refunded me in full. Still no tank tho so the bike sits. I suppose it's time to call airtech for a tank. No more overseas transactions for this cat. What a pita.

Glad you got your funds back from eBay. Most likely that guy was a scammer and does not really exist in Europe.
