OMG! There's an "H" word in my truck! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Actually, it's in my garage now. It'a a 73 CB350T, pretty complete (missing side covers, seat is crap) and not too beat up, I said make a bobber out of it! ![]() ![]() We are sourcing some parts for it and making an attack plan before putting any money into it, his budget is small so we're sticking to carb kits, plugs and oil/filter change for now. Any H0nd@ experts please jump in with do's and dont's, we haven't torn into it too far yet. It ran so we are trying to do one thing then try it before digging into something else. He knows Harleys and I know Triples but we both look at this and see Briggs and Stratten! ![]() |

If you have the carbs off clean them properly the first time. I can't count the number of times I tried to "getaway" with just spray cleaner. Do it right. Dip 'em. You'll be glad you did. As for the diaphram, if it tears when taking it apart it would have most likely fail once running. Better to find out now then when on the road. |

My first Streetbike! Please dont bobber ![]() ![]() I would put my money where my mouth is if it wasn't in Florida. Amazing the money that those bikes are bringing in socal. I broke a ring land on mine eventually doing the ton everywhere ( at least down every hill) thru the Maine woods. Good times! ![]() |

If the diaphrams stay out of the carbs for a while they may swell and be hard to get back in. If I remember right a little time in the freezer will help. Just make sure they are in place and not getting pinched when putting the covers on. Like Falconman said, since there off already you might as well clean them right. |

Those CV carbs with the rubber piston diaphragm are the devils work boys. I had a 68 CL350 in 1972 and the carbs were a pain if everything wasnt perfect. ESPECIALLY those rubber diaphragms. Great little bike to bop around on though. Ran a set of TT pipes on mine, she was loud for sure. ![]() |

Sirius Consolidated has all the carb parts, including the right shape float bowl o-ring (not the one size fits all round one), diaphragm, etc. Good bike, hard to kill em! |

Thanks for the input and info! Don't worry, no bobber here, he wants to just get it running right and leave it stock. ![]() |

Don't make a bobber!! Make a cafe racer out of it! Much cooler! http://www.bikeexif.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/honda_cb350_cafe_racer.jpg That's a CB350 cafe. Make one of those. |

I've had several of these - even the green shown here. Tons of Fun - and the diaphragms do crack and leak - devil work for sure. |
