Unfortunately, My girlfriends father passed away 2 days ago.

Her father worked for Lockheed over 40 years, mostly in the Skunk Works. I had a few amazing talks with him, he was an engineers, engineer. He loved aircraft and got to do design work on some of the best. Just a ultra cool guy!

He wanted me to have some of his stuff, as he knew how interested I was, as it turns out, My girlfriend only had a backpack and duffle bag, but crammed it full with some very cool stuff. So I will be posting pics as I get things photographed.

I think one of my favorites is this. He got to fly on the Concord, and they knew who he was. So they presented him with this titanium turbine blade signed by a chief pilot of the Concord.

This is just Awesome!

Great stuff! My father flew Messerschmitt 109:s - he still has the original pilot jacket, boots and the leather helmet (cable from the neck + big earphones). They came with the airplane. Later on he was accepting delivery of first MiG 21:s Soviets ever sold to west, and the Cuban crisis broke out. Finnish pilots were at Almaty, now Kazakhstan, local guards locked them in barracks at secret airfield and Soviets said "the WW3 will start in 24 hours, you all will be arrested and no way you can go home". After 4 days they let them to go out and finally they flew MiG:s to Finland. My father has also MiG and other military aircraft stuff.

John,

Sorry to hear of the loss of this cool guy. Some of that kind of hardware is great memorabilia. Keep it on the shelf to remind you of the man.

More pictures please.

Great story smokin! And a bit scary. I have a small handgun from WWII Dad gave me, supposedly from a German officer. A little .32

And thanks Rotor! He was such a great guy.

Pretty much self explanatory pic next.
