God, I love America :D

I'm a reasonably accomplished RC flyer, so when I get the time, I'm building one of these for my Dad and brother to play with(me on the sticks, them on the trigger).

Two of my other hobbies, my son Charles and I are accomplished aerobatic champions (rc) and in 2011 my son won the Youth Masters national aerobatic championship.

Pretty cool, Carl. A friend I worked with, who was a good RC pilot, invited me along to the local airport once. I got to fly one of his planes, and when I got in trouble, I'd just hand the controller to him and he'd get it flying properly again and hand it back. I got to where I could fly the plane halfway well, and had a blast. I knew I was just inches away from getting involved in a whole new hobby, and purposely stayed away because I had plenty of other hobbies at the time. Maybe someday I'll give it a try.

Its a blast Jim, I have been flying RC since 1976 and my son Charles has been flying for 10 years, and has more natural talent then anyone I have seen. For the last 2 years twice a year we go to a contest in Myrtle Beach and he wins hands down (with outdated 10 year old design plane) and drives those guys nuts who fly all the latest and greatest all year long and the boy just shows up and wins ! Yea Im proud ! The most impressive airplane I own is a 35% Yak 55 with a 100 cc gas 2 stroke twin swinging a 27" prop with a 102" wingspan. Ill have to see if I have any digital photos Ill post some.

Great timing, I just went target shooting yesterday, used a few of my weapons, Sagant, Luger, 501 series Wildee Brown (short targets), and a Barrett 50 (long target) I am testing for them. No dirt bikers, although, one very clapped out Nissan van didn't survive the Barrett well at all (6 rounds, almost no Nissan left). The outdoor range is only a mile from my place, shoots into the side of the one mountain on our north side. Special permit (of which, I have) needed to fire the Barrett, or any other 50 long rifle. Fun day!

I open carry the Luger on my belt everywhere, and have a CCW permit too.

Very few if any open ranges that are not owned by a club around here anymore
When I was a kid, you could shoot 22's into the hill at the dump; no body complained, parent supervision of the kids, and all acted responsibly

The guys in that video must have spent a fortune in ammo and gun rentals

I go out my front door now, turn right on the porch, and have 110,000 dead bare, except for weeds acres of BLM lands in the picture. When I lived in Whittier, right out the front door, to my right, 20 feet, 18 of which were my property, the worst probation department in Los Angeles County, Rio Hondo office. Now, I shoot paper targets out to the right, back there in Whittier, shot at a lot of "'Can's", all sorts of "'Can's".
