This is true. Where I grew up the hills were so steep and long, when your ball rolled down the hill you just said "screw it"...

Don't think that doesn't happen in the US. It just happened to a crew where I work. A guy fell 12 feet onto energized 12 kv in a vault. Luckily he only had a punctured lung etc. A shame the hole wasn't being watched.

Almost happen to me in NY, while cresting a slight hill I saw something in road so I went slight to the right turns out it was a manhole lid and an inch or two further right was the wide open man hole ,,,,,, that was on a busy four lane highway I called the PD as soon as I said the location the cop barks back (full attitude) at me yeah yeah I know there is an open manhole cover we know that and hangs up
