Don't think that doesn't happen in the US. It just happened to a crew where I work. A guy fell 12 feet onto energized 12 kv in a vault. Luckily he only had a punctured lung etc. A shame the hole wasn't being watched.

Almost happen to me in NY, while cresting a slight hill I saw something in road so I went slight to the right turns out it was a manhole lid and an inch or two further right was the wide open man hole :o ,,,,,, that was on a busy four lane highway I called the PD as soon as I said the location the cop barks back (full attitude) at me yeah yeah I know there is an open manhole cover we know that and hangs up :thumbdown:

Union Cops..?.......If not, call the Chief of Police and tell him. He'll straighten that out.
If union just move out of the state.
