Wow! I never even heard of this process! Very cool! but I imagine extremely expensive...

I watched it twice, and still have no idea what the process was that they used to make the parts.

Look up 3D printing. It is an exciting "future technology" coming to the market now.

I've heard of 3D printing but up to this point it was a uv cure plastic, before that a wax.
From what I understand, they are using a laser to melt metal powder in a similar process... In this case stainless. Fookin amazing! 8-)
I wasn't kidding about the replicator btw it will happen, just a matter of time.

Good call Hall.
They make a pretty detailed part out of stainless with a CAD/CAM printer.
They say it's cheaper but they use a lot of energy in their ovens and pre-heat stations.

OK, thanks Jim C. That actually showed the procedure. I'm sure it's cheaper than making molds for die casting, but I'm also sure that getting a part made that way isn't cheap.
