If I could get a deal on one I'd jump on it. They have a cult following for a reason. They're fun!

Parts are cheaper and easier to find also.Yamaha must have sold as many RD's as Honda did with the CB350.

not at all about the numbers of RD 350 sold.
I have the production numbers wordline and they built only less than 20.000 RD 350 around 5500 on 73 and 5500 again on 74, 5000 75, a few on 76.
But it's true you can find easily parts for them if they're engine parts, body parts is an other story.

Had one bought brand new on the seventies, was 1973 model year, really not so fun like a K triple cause, with the reeds, the engine struggles at 8500 RPM which is the begining of the red line and no wild power at 6000 rpm like K triple cause the f.... reeds.
tried an 69 H1 when I had my RD 350 and thought immediatly want one and just or nearly did it

The power kick at ~6k rpm has nothing to do with the absolute value of power....just the fact the bike is a slug under 6k.

I have an RD400 that would like to run your K bike....... ;)

RD350's are great little bikes, a bit more refined than say a KH400, but very fun. I have had both, the RD gets the job done very well, handles great, power-wise similar the the KH400, depending on tuning. I will have another RD, paying $1500 or thereabouts seems about right. If you do end up with a fixer-upper, HVC Cycles is the place to go for parts.
