Never knew that these bikes had specific conditions for riding:
"The bike is made to be full throttle and sideways the entire time you ride it"

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2007-apr ... 2317ae59ec

Saw a KTM Super M leaving the hood last week. The rider had knee pads / shin guards over his jeans.
Very odd in my sleeping little neighborhood.
So until I make friends, what's it like to ride these bikes?

If the H1 and H2 are meant to be up-right, standard, naked, hooligan bikes with strong acceleration and the ability to do some knee dragging, is the Super M the 2000 version of triple attitude wise?

Am also assuming that they are not good road bikes for distance.

They're a blast. I have a KLX 250 that I bored to 351. It's not an arm jerking 650 or anything but it's an abolute hoot to ride. They are a blast through the Gap.

Distance is relative....I can ride mine all day but I would't take it across country.

I used to ride a XT500 on the street in the summer and ice race it in the winter when I was a teenager... So maybe I'm a bit biased but I for one would love to build a 500 2 stroke motard. :)

Unless you have a very strong will for constraint, you will lose your license very fast on a motard. That is why I keep the knobbies on my dirtbike. Case in point http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fYu7DQn5vAI (cation for language)
