Physics has intervened on my behalf, thanks to M in SC for the warning and advice. I loaded two bikes into the chocks I had and the 3rd one I loaded and placed onto the trailer in the place where the 3rd chock would go. I discovered that the load was too far aft. About 50 pounds of force enabled me to pick up the tongue and take the pressure off the hitch ball. With about 1100 pounds on I shouldn't be able to budge the tongue. That is very dangerous. I hadn't drilled the 3rd chock yet thank God so I only have to re-drill 4 holes to move the right hand chock up and then 4 more holes to mount the last one. I knew the potential for this existed was hoping I could get away with it but the possibility of a severe swaying incident isn't worth it. I can back the RD in and put the other two on the outside. Oh well, I tried... :banghead :e4 :e4

That's amazing, Tim. In the photos it looked like you were going to have a LOT of tongue weight. It must have been an illusion.

Hey Jim
Yeah I had to offset them back 22 inches to get the spacing needed to keep them from touching and that proved to be too far. Mark saw it in a picture and cautioned me. When I was able to lift it up that easy with that load it concerned me. So on we go...

OK, that explains it.

Not much more than two weeks left! It's a lot less stressful getting ready this year though, with more time available to work on it.

I hope to finish up the trailer tomorrow and then all that's left is to ride them all one more time and a couple days of cleaning and detailing. I have to get all the equipment ready for hay season as we will be starting the 1st cutting a week after I get back. I took off from the 11th through the 23rd so I will be packing up and loading the 12th and 13th as the Bridal Unit's birthday is the 14th... then roll out early on the 15th :D
My back up at work is on leave now so I am on my 2nd six night work week to cover for him...

Is the interference a non-problem? It looks good.

The ones I bolted in my van look like they're the same, but they're bumble-bee colored... yellow and black.

The only problem is you have to back one bike in and push the other two on. Makes it hard to do by yourself. Unloading is easy.

But it allows you to wheelie one off the trailer.
