First look at the dealer and I hated it. Didn't like the color scheme at all and it weighs 490 lbs. Price was 9,799 and is dropping like a rock. I've seen them as cheap as 5,499. It's getting tempting but I would have to have it repainted in a color that stood out more. Thinking of either a British color or maybe a Kaw triple color. Winter makes me bored and I start having crazy ideas. :eh:

Buddy, I just sold the 500 lb. Guzzi and bought a 400 lb. MT-07. That W800 is heavier than I would even consider. It's looks good and will be a great motorcycle for other people. :)

edit: I just looked at the specs. It has a weak engine and gets poor gas mileage. I don't know how they managed to get that combination!

Come on guys, it DOES have a H2 tail-light!! Sort of reminds me of when they bought out that KZ750 Twin thing, what was THAT all about?

I think John might have one of those KZ750 things.

Well, H2 owners have a right to question Kawasaki's decisions regarding their 750 models....nice bike, I'm sure, but, come on!!! :o ( )

I have owned one of these W800's, and stillnown one of the original W650's. Both are GREAT bikes.

Most all times, owning one is the ONLY prerequisite for credible opinions on something, not random useless speculation.

I’d almost be tempted to purchase one at that price which is about $3000 off list price. I’m sure it would be a fun bike and it has it in the looks dept. Buddy- do you still have your W650?

Yes Evans, I still have the w650 and still enjoy riding it. I like the 2020 w800 standard bike in red. It is really sharp in person and the price is dropping on them also. It's just a lot harder to find as dealers don't want to stock them. I did see a cafe version on facebook with 300 miles for 5100.

Jim, the power and gas mileage don't really concern me, the weight does though. Just sitting on it, it doesn't feel that heavy but I'm sure it would in slow curves. I've read some reviews, some hate it while others like it. I need to test ride it and see what I think.
