Interesting read. I learned to ride on small Italian bikes but got my first Japanese bike in 1972. It was a an S2 triple. Never really wanted a Harley but I can sort of see the appeal of an American made machine. They just don't do it for me style wise like the other Japanese or European bike companies do. Hopefully they can survive into the future. I'd hate to see them fade away.
