Had a good go with Hurricane Florence the last couple of weeks. We ended up just fine but unfortunately there were a lot of people in our small local communities that did not. Our little town of Pollocksville about 65% of the homes and businesses within the town were under water. My local biker church that I attend "Broken Spoke" was completely under water. Our county seat of Trenton NC was also under water from the local river. My son Sam has a house downtown that didn't have any water damage because its the highest lot in town. Our Automotive shop on the west end of town stayed high and dry. As soon as I can get my computer stuff strait I will provide some pics.

Wow Carl, what luck! Did you lose power? I see from the Duke Energy outage map that they still don't quite have all the power back everywhere.

8 Days without power and about 3-4 days trapped by rivers..

That's a pain.

I have a big old diesel generator, but for eight days of full time running I'd need almost 200 gallons of fuel. For that many days I'd probably run it about 1/2 the time, shutting it off at night.

Glad Y'all fared well, my friend. Tell Charles I haven't forgotten about the headlight bucket, just been busy on the farm. I will get it boxed up soon.
