I'm doing a spruce up on a 1983 ELR and I need to find a paint code for it. It seems that Kawasaki called it 7F but I'm not sure and if it is correct I don't know how to cross reference it. As far as computer paint matching I haven't had the best luck with that sort of thing.

I remember the racing green started as a Ditzler color, AMC Gremlin Big Bad Green. Might try Ditzler and see if the code comes up aces.

Kawasaki has had about 100 different versions of "Kawasaki Green" over the years. If you had a bit of fresh paint under the tank or seat, whatever, it can be analysed by a competent paint shop. Otherwise you could paint it K Green from one of the late model sports bikes, ZX6/10 etc. The later versions are pretty bright!

I did some research on this a few years ago. RodH2 is right there were a lot of different ELR greens over the years. When I painted my GPz750 in ELR colors I used the Dupont Spectramaster green GS085. The image is from the now defunct KZ1000R forum.
