We lost 2 people over the weekend, one a Speedway World Champion, the other an Actor of no ill repute. Ivan Mauger, Multiple Year World Speedway Champion R. Lee Ermey, Actor, TV Host, U.S. Marine, Drill Sergeant, and all time good guy. |

Very sad to see Ivan pass away. I remember him well from Western Springs, Auckland, New Zealand, where my brothers raced different classes there. Ivan was a true badass, few more exciting races to be seen than a speedway bike race on a larger track, let alone one where Ivan was racing in, it's something I won't forget. Rest in peace Ivan. |
