2017 has certainly shown me a lot about myself and has me most introspective for the new year. I just started to get back into my build and the twists and turns life has to offer has put the ol gal on the back burner yet again.

Mom is still gettin' by and continuing with the day to day struggle with parkinson's--dad recently just had double by-pass on the 29th and he's doing great--they determined his RCA was flush accluded and 100% blocked nearly his whole life. Not sure what the future holds with dad's recovery and being the primary care giver for my mom.

My cart still remains pretty full looking after a special needs brother, mom at the care facility and looking after my dad. I'm happy to have somewhat of a fresh start for 2018. Merry belated Christmas to you all, and well, Happy New Year seems to be getting old to say these days! Wishing you all health and prosperity in 2018!!

I can't wait to get back to the ol Bucket Bike...it would be great to get her in a ride-able state before I take a dirt nap!

I don't know if we've met, Redcloud, but that sounds a bit rough. Maybe make the trip to Deals Gap and ride away your troubles for a week.

Best of luck for 2018!

redcloud, hang in there, taking care of family is not easy sometimes. I oversee my sister, she is 85, lives on her own about 10 miles from me, and, I do all her shopping, bill paying, other situations. She is in relative good health, but, I am ready if things change.

It sounds like you have had a more than large amount of adversity with all the events, and are dealing with them. This is what strength and character is, and you seem to have the right amount of it, sir.

Stay strong, its family.

It's great to hear that you're taking care of family and putting them first. Your bikes/projects will be there when you're ready. Best of luck in 2018!

Thanks all. Acceptance of the current situations are easier when you sit back and think about all that ya have and are blessed with. You fellas are great...thanks for the kind words and encouragement. I'm optimistic for 2018. Every day is a fresh start...livin' moment by moment. :D

My life has been a mix of country songs these days...the furnace has quit 3 times in 3 months (replaced the main control board, start capacitor, and third time was a charm with a new blower motor), fuel line leak on the ol pick em up, snowblower took a bad hit, accident in my truck, on the list goes, but I'm handlin it..."I'm Tired of It All" by Merle Haggard comes to mind, but then I think of "Workin' Man Blues," and keep on-a goin'... Good Stuff.

I had a chuckle yesterday...upon coming home I pulled the door knob off the front door...I just smiled and fixed it. That's progress.

Again, best wishes all...Gap sounds great...would love to get the ol skoot ride-able and make it this year...

Good attitude is everything.....Not sure if I qualify for that though.

As I get older I can see why they call it the bitter end, life gets tough.
There are days when I think If life was a room I would run screaming from it and shut the door!
Somehow I always manage to take a breath and move forward.

Im sure we have all heard this before; the real hero's of the world are the ones who get up every day and do what needs to be done. Even if they complain a bit about it, (thats me! ) and cherish the moments of clarity when you realized the blessings.
