Since the time I started driving in 1976 I have always just bought used cars. Some where maybe only a year or two old with low miles but
never a new one. Since 2005 I have driven Mini Cooper R53's, worn out three of them. A few months ago I made the decision it was time
for something different and started doing research on the best AWD cars and small SUV's. For the money, the Subaru Crosstrek was my choice.
Got a Orange 2018 with the Eyesight option, it's like a driver assist with crash avoidance, lane change warning and all kinds of other stuff.
So until we move to Colorado I still have to spend 5 hours a day commuting, mine as well have a car that will make it easier. Won't miss
pushing the clutch in a 1000 times a day stuck on the 91 freeway.

I remember in the 80's back in New Hampshire every other car on the road was a Subaru, it's about time one is in my driveway.

Great choice - but check the oil very regularly. The flat 4 configuration seems to allow oil seepage into the combustion chambers when the car is parked for any length of time. Best AWD I've ever tried...by far.

Congrats on the Crosstrek! I bought my daughter one when she moved to Syracuse. I had many recommendations from the guys here when I inquired about AWD/4x4 vehicles. She's now back in Florida but I'm still glad she has that car. Good looking vehicle also.

I've been looking at Subarus also. They seem to be good cars.

My 01 Outback is the best car I ever owned.

It's my commuter car Barry. The adaptive cruse control is amazing. No more pushing a clutch in 10,000 time a day stuck on the 91 fwy.
Will be a good car for the Colorado winters too. Not a drop of rain or snow here, and none it sight.
