we are 4 Norwegians,2 pairs, doing a little road trip in May 2017 (3 weeks) in Texas, mainly looking to visit San Antonio and Austin, and then New Orleans and Nashville.
any information/tips regarding places to visit, sightseeing, and of course also any information regarding old Suzuki and Honda dealerships who might have Suzuki GS750 (77-79) parts, and Honda XL250/XL350 K3/K4 parts :-) I don't expect to find any nos H2 parts.
but I guess there must be some motorcycle scrapyards in Texas also ???

so please, fill my PM box with information, and make our road trip more interesting :D

"Tips" West Texas and the whole western area of USA are awesome riding if your into scenery

"Parts" When I was in Germany in the 80's I bought new side badges for my GS750 reason being Euro bikes had GSX750 badges , way cooler than just plain jane GS, I had the only GSX750 in New York at the time 8-)

Howdy from Texas! I live in the Austin area [Lake Travis] and can give you some info on great roads in the Austin & San Antonio area as well as good food, wineries and whatever.

There are no longer any scrapyards in this area, but I have good contacts for CB750 parts [I have a K3 & K4]

Do you plan to ride bikes? What else are you interested in?

I am very happy to help....

the "twisted sisters" loop is worth ridding and wont be blistering hot yet.
its fm 355, 356,and 357 and most peeps start at a "town " called leaky.
its about 100 miles and you get some good veiws of the hillcountry.

also the spring feed swimming hole at dripping springs ,Hamilton.
24300 Hamilton Pool Rd.
Dripping Spgs, TX
78620
but gets very busy in the summer and they limit the numbers (think its a a state park)

looks like they have suspended swimming for the pressent.

have fun mark

Hey Mark....I was going to suggest the "Sisters" to him!
[Actually it's RR 335, 336 & 337]

Here is a great article about the roads and also some tourist stops...
