I might need to see a shrink, I bought a Honda. I am not educated yet on these Superhawks but I didn't think I could go wrong for $300 with a clean title. The bike has sat since 1975, it has the wrong bars but it looks like it will clean up pretty well. Not sure what will happen with it yet.

That's high tech racing stuff right there, something to do with wind flow. ;)

Not a bad motorcycle overall. One problem they did have, the rocker arms have cam pads that are hard chromed, and after years of operation, the hard chrome comes off. Can take the cam lobes out when that happens. Looks like somebody stuck velocity stacks on the carbs, wrong way to go.

Those things aren't as simple as newer engines are, but, they are usually very resilient.

One out of left-field for the Honda nuts, and no Google involved..... Didn't the Kick-start on those operate Outwards, like you kicked it out 90 degrees to the bike...... A friend had one WAY back in the day! Dave will know! (might have been the 305 CB72?) Forward even, maybe you kicked it forward!?

Maybe that's why I think the engine is locked up. :o

Kick starter lever is conventional, front to rear, one model went rear to front.

BMW had a kick out the side kick start lever.

These bikes were in both 250 and 305 cc versions,
CA: Dream, low square pipes, square appearance, pressed steel frame
CB: Street, low pipes, as in the pic above, round tube frame
CL: Scrambler, both pipes up, and out one side, round tube frame

CA72, 250, CA77, 305
CB72, 250, CB77, 305
CL72, 250, CL77, 305
