This is Kawasaki's Zephyr 1100RS( retro style) that never came to the States.Same as the Zephyr that did but it had a stock paint job that was close to the 1975 Z1 and spoke wheels !! Rumor has it that Kawasaki's new Retro Z900RS may look similar to this bike !!! I took the picture last week in the motorcycle shop in Narita Japan that I visit on layovers !!! This bike is rare and while there are a million Zephyrs in Japan this is only the second time in over 20 years that I have seen and actual Zephyr 1100RS in person !!! The original bike had upswept stock pipes. This bike had a aftermarket exhaust on it !!!

Here in the UK we only got the first version of the spoke wheel Zephyr ZR100 (ZR1100-B1)
The Japanese home market got another 4 versions of the spoke wheel bike with
the last model in 2002 the ZR1100-B5
Picture is of a B1 model.

It looks really nice, but it seems the wet weight is 586 lbs. That kills any interest I would have had in it.

Yeah, that is crazy heavy.....and one of the reasons I stepped back from the original Z1 when it came out, which, even then, was "only" about 520 or so!
