Anyone ever ship a car stateside over to Europe? How did it run on their fuel? My 4Runner ships out to Belgium in a few days and wondering if I may need to pull catalytic converter or anything prior to running it their. Thanks

If you pull the cat on a late model car there is a big possibility that the computer will throw a code , opening a can of worms  .

looooooonnnnnngggggggggg time ago I was soldier in Germany lots of US cars there nobody mentioned any gas issues .

The only problems really was lead in fuel, which coated the platinum in the converters. It's long gone now in gas everywhere.

what john said.

i think the EU 98 octane is something like your 92? or 91? different ratings..

and gas is 3 times as expensive so dont plan to commute in a 4 runner :)

I just heard there was some lead in fuels here and there but not much. I am bringing a scooter as well for commuting when I can due to its mileage versus the 4Runner. I am given a tax free 100 gallons a month allotment so it is actually less than what I just paid in calif for a gallon of fuel so I'm good there. I'll be gathering a few fuel cans to stock pile cheap fuel if I want to take a trip somewhere though.

I'll have to take a drive your way husson73. I'm going to be about 2 hours away from you. I won't have a triple with me though. Going to buy a bike there to get around on

two hours from Belgium to Paris with a car you will drive fast (beware in the highway, plenty of fixed speed camera but you have a sign before them and some mobile speed cars, beware of any cars hidden on the sides or on the hardshoulders)
Will be please seeing you again, last time was Spa 2012 isn't it 8-)
