NOOOOOO MINE MINE MINE…….

I can see that for a Z1-R but a MKII???
Back in 2012 I was offered no more than 1000.00 depending on inspection at pick up from a place that does KZ resto in Chicago and I had sent lots of pics.
Then I posted it locally in a bike shop near me with no offers at all, the owner of the shop said if it didn't run 300 to 500 tops.
I didn't try after that, and now that was 4 yrs ago….time flys!
I really don't know I have not seen another one for sale and I have never seen one this nice cosmetically.
The fact it is locked solid seemed to be the lynch pin, and I think I know why….I may be in for a bit more than I was hoping, the output shaft for the drive sprocket is a bit off center and the bearing shattered. Cant wait to open it up and see the rest :problem:

OWCH! But fixable! The Mark II was a 2 year model, so a bit rare. I had the 79 blue Mark II.

Got the engine out of the frame tonight and opened up the oil pan.
Not as bad as I thought inside by looks, can't wait to split the cases and get a better look.
and the internals look pretty clean, not bad for a motor that has sat for 18yrs with no oil in it.

I tried to sign up at KZRIDER, with no luck, not sure why they won't confirm my request I sent a couple e-mails.
I have been looking at that site looking for any info I may need to know.…. are there any other good KZ sites??
Internet search provides few results.

KZRider is the best. Lots of knowledge there. I don't know why you wouldn't be able to get signed on.
