I lost the little plate that goes between the two middle carbs that the throttle return spring hooks to and I can't find one anywhere. I even tried Steve-o's pal's at the SOHC4 forum and got no help(it seems to be a little different crowd there than here). I also lost the spring. Does anybody know where I can at least get used ones? It's a 1971 K1.

Hey GUTS....didnt see your thread over there, I'm typically in the "parts for sale" not the "parts wanted" section.

Did you try PM'ing Harisuluv? He is our resident carb guru over there.

I would think you could also just use one of the standard fuel rail tees as are in between the other carbs, those are on Ebay all the time. The holes look to be the same and the spring doesn't care what it hooks on. The springs should come up on Ebay too.

In fact, I just checked and both parts are on Ebay right now. The plate guy is looking for eleven bucks. The reproduction spring and new tube is going for twenty bucks.

Good to hear you found one.

BTW - what did you mean by the SOHC forum "is a different crowd"?

It is the most active, friendly, drama-less forum I have been a part of.
There have been numerous times members send me parts N/C [I recently was given a CB550F head, Ron wouldnt even accept money for shipping]
